Three-part series to feature LGBTQIA+ athletes and their support systems

In collaboration with Deloitte, the National Women’s Soccer League today announced Passion in Pride presented by Deloitte, a three-part video series devoted to showcasing NWSL athletes and the loved ones who have helped them feel supported as members of the LGBTQIA+ community.

In collaboration with Deloitte, the National Women’s Soccer League today announced Passion in Pride presented by Deloitte, a three-part video series devoted to showcasing NWSL athletes and the loved ones who have helped them feel supported as members of the LGBTQIA+ community. Passion in Pride will focus on three athletes in the NWSL, including Angel City FC defender Paige Nielsen, Orlando Pride forward Chelsee Washington, and Washington Spirit defender Gaby Vincent. Each feature will provide an inside look into three unique stories, including Nielsen’s journey to coming out and living authentically with her wife, Jenn, Washington’s strong connection with her partner and the greater Orlando community, and how the allyship of Vincent’s family helps her to be her truest self. The first episode of Passion in Pride will premiere Sunday, July 3 on the NWSL Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and YouTube channels.
