The National Women’s Soccer League’s Disciplinary Committee has made the following decision after review of an incident involving Houston Dash forward Shea Groom that occurred in the 36th minute of the team’s April 15 match against the Kansas City Current.

The National Women’s Soccer League’s Disciplinary Committee has made the following decision after review of an incident involving Houston Dash forward Shea Groom that occurred in the 36th minute of the team’s April 15 match against the Kansas City Current. After further evaluation, the Disciplinary Committee determined that Groom committed unsportsmanlike conduct in violation of Section 12.3.6, “Major Game Misconduct”, of the League Operations Manual. As a result, Groom has been issued an official warning accompanied by a fine. The sanction may not be appealed.
