NEW YORK (May 29, 2025) - Following a review by the NWSL Disciplinary Committee, the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) has issued additional sanctions to Racing Louisville FC midfielder Kayla Fischer resulting from her actions in an incident that occurred in the 64th minute of the club’s match against Angel City FC on May 24.

Following the incident, Fischer received a red card resulting in an automatic one-match suspension to be served during Racing’s next match against Utah Royals FC on June 6.

After further review of the altercation, the Disciplinary Committee determined that Fischer’s conduct violated Section 12.4.10, “Major Game Misconduct,” of the League Operations Manual.

As a result, Fischer has been issued an additional two-match suspension, increasing her total suspension to three matches.

Fischer will serve the remaining two matches of her suspension during Racing’s June 14 match against the Kansas City Current and the club’s June 20 match against the Orlando Pride.

Fischer will be eligible to return from suspension for Racing’s August 1 match against Kansas City.
