CHICAGO (February 20, 2021) – The National Women’s Soccer League announced today that more than 1,000 tests were performed for individuals associated with NWSL teams since Feb. 8, 2021 and one individual received a confirmed positive COVID-19 test.
All necessary contact tracing was conducted. The individual who received a positive result, as well as any close contacts, are self-quarantining and following the guidance provided by their respective medical staffs and the league’s medical protocols. The NWSL will continue to provide weekly COVID-19 testing updates.
