Portland Thorns FC midfielder Lindsey Horan has been voted NWSL Player of the Week for Week 24 of the 2018 season by the NWSL Media Association.Horan scored a brace to help the Thorns come from behind to beat Seattle Reign FC 3-1 in Week 24. With the win, the Thorns secured second place in the league standings and get to host the playoff semifinal next Saturday at Providence Park. Horan finished the regular season with two, two-goal performances. This is the second time Horan has been named NWSL Player of the Week. Horan’s first goal came in the 30th minute when she blasted a one-time shot past Reign FC goalkeeper Lydia Williams. Her second on the night was in the 82nd minute when she finished off a Tobin Heath corner kick to make it 3-1. Horan’s brace put her at 13 goals this season, the third-highest in the league. Horan had two shots, both on target and completed 77.6% of her passes (38 total) on 93 touches, according to Opta. In addition to her 13 goals this season, Horan also chipped in two assists.
