Chicago Red Stars 4 | Portland Thorns FC 4* In a wild and windy match, the Chicago Red Stars and Portland Thorns FC played to an entertaining 4-4 draw.

• Portland Thorns FC forward Christine Sinclair scored three in the game, and now has 43 career NWSL goals. It’s the second hat trick of her NWSL career. Red Stars forward Yuki Nagasato scored twice, including the game-tying goal in the 90th minute.

• Sinclair opened the scoring in the 16th minute with a looping shot over Red Stars goalkeeper Alyssa Naeher on an assist from Lindsey Horan.

• Immediately after Sinclair’s first goal, Portland was called for a handball in the box and Nagasato converted the penalty kick to level the match in the 18th minute.

• Chicago took a 2-1 lead in the 20th after Sam Kerr stole the ball from Emily Sonnett and slotted it past Thorns goalkeeper Adrianna Franch.

• The Thorns made it 2-2 in the 33rd on a header goal from Ana-Maria Crnogorcevic, assisted by Meghan Klingenberg.

• Sinclair’s second goal came in the 51st minute, as she was open in the box on a cross sent in by Klingenberg, and put the Thorns up 3-2.

• No one scored for about 15 minutes before Red Stars forward Michele Vasconcelos finished off a well-worked team goal for Chicago to tie the match at 3-3.

• Sinclair’s third goal came on a penalty kick in the 87th minute, and briefly gave the Thorns a 4-3 lead.

• Nagasato tied the match in the 90th minute at 4-4.
