Sky Blue FC got off to another hot start on the road, but couldn’t hold on in the second half as the Chicago Red Stars came from behind for a 2-1 win on Sunday at Toyota Park in front of a crowd of 3,720 in Bridgeview, Illinois. Chicago’s two goals came in a span of four minutes in the second half thanks to [**Vanessa DiBernardo**](https://www.nwslsoccer.com/players/view/dv8265k3za578hkzxxuttqmdx) and [**Sofia Huerta**](https://www.nwslsoccer.com/players/view/dwwgrimn3ddecp5kllvsdga8l).The win extends Chicago’s unbeaten streak to seven games. Sky Blue rookie midfielder [**Madison Tiernan**](https://www.nwslsoccer.com/players/view/pbjayuhhfpwy5cu7y7o2h0x5) didn’t quite break [**Raquel Rodriguez**](https://www.nwslsoccer.com/players/view/6k82rq8synvac950ext5t0jpx)’s fastest NWSL record this week, but her 3rd minute goal but the Jersey side out in front 1-0 to stun the home crowd. Roughly 120 seconds into the game, Red Stars defender [**Samantha Johnson**](https://www.nwslsoccer.com/players/view/5y2ala24107ak9p59pcjny2mt) and Sky Blue forward [**McKenzie Meehan**](https://www.nwslsoccer.com/players/view/c9ay4lj96l7ra2htc50wb8gkp) battled for the ball in the box, with Meehan just knocking the ball off Johnson at the last moment to earn the Jersey side the corner kick. Midfielder [**Taylor Lytle**](https://www.nwslsoccer.com/players/view/aropf4gdgbabf0nr00yqk6dat) sent a perfect corner kick right to the head of Tiernan on the right side of the six yard box and Tiernan flicked it into the back of the net for her first NWSL goal. [Empty Body] The Red Stars nearly equalized in the 21st minute with a header of their own as Huerta sent a cross to [**Jen Hoy**](https://www.nwslsoccer.com/players/view/a4xsv206vtrvdt5d29q0c6a51), who headed it down and towards the goal frame, but the ball bounced just wide right. Hoy would get another shot — this time with her right foot — in the 31st, but again her effort went just wide right. Midfielder [**Alyssa Mautz**](https://www.nwslsoccer.com/players/view/7mg3exv2es9mrfso3g6bgu2mt) entered in the second half and brought a bit of new life to the Red Stars offense. In the 57th minute, her long-range volley forced a diving save from Sky Blue FC rookie goalkeeper [**Kailen Sheridan**](https://www.nwslsoccer.com/players/view/4yb9avzbrzt8m4c4h1yy98jbp). [Empty Body] In the 63rd minute, defender [**Katie Naughton**](https://www.nwslsoccer.com/players/view/6zm75ruas324c7yrt18ttei8l) intercepted a ball on Chicago’s defensive side of the field and played a long ball up into the attack. [**Christie Pearce**](https://www.nwslsoccer.com/players/view/ewrbjweda4l3ihdx1zjk7avh1) won the ball in the air for Sky Blue, but DiBernardo stole the rebound away from midfielder [**Sarah Killion**](https://www.nwslsoccer.com/players/view/dvrjartag9mqmkuu888yrj5cl). DiBernardo took a few strides towards the goal, put the ball on her right foot, and dialed up a shot from 25 yards out that beat Sheridan to tie the game. [Empty Body] The score didn’t stay tied for very long. In the 67th minute, left back [**Casey Short**](https://www.nwslsoccer.com/players/view/4ullol3wa4qdi9ydgrxgxbcgl) found space on the left wing and sent a low cross into the box to Huerta. With her back to goal, Huerta trapped the ball with her left foot, turned and sent a low left-footed shot in between two Sky Blue defenders and into the bottom right corner of the goal. [Empty Body] In the 75th minute, midfielder [**Danielle Colaprico**](https://www.nwslsoccer.com/players/view/1c2boqmoi50esuelgdd96o06h) went down an apparent right leg injury and had to be helped off the field. She was replaced by [**Taylor Comeau**](https://www.nwslsoccer.com/players/view/mobzc74c2hlsrlkj3c3y2ne1) who had to leave last week’s match after suffering a lung contusion. It’s the first comeback win of the season for the Red Stars and the first time that Sky Blue FC has lost when scoring first. Following the game, Chicago sits firmly in second place in the NWSL with 20 points, four clear of Sky Blue FC in third place with 16 points. The Red Stars now hit the road for a Wednesday night game in Seattle followed by Saturday in Orlando.
