Seattle Reign FC and the Orlando Pride played to a 0-0 draw on Sunday night at UW Medicine Pitch at Memorial Stadium in Seattle Washington. The Reign improve to 5-2-3 (18 points) and the visiting Orlando Pride pick up one point for a 4-3-4 (16 points) overall record. The Pride have now won four of their last five road games and sit in third place in the league standings after Week 10. With Sunday’s result, the Reign remain just ahead of the Pride in second place. This was the second meeting between the Pride and Reign this season. In the first match the Pride and Reign played to a 1-1 draw. This meeting featured different looking squads with the U.S. women’s national team and Canada women’s national team calling up players ahead of the upcoming June friendlies. The first chance of the game came from Reign FC forward [**Jodie Taylor**](https://www.nwslsoccer.com/players/view/92k3ea1daqrl2ri1jn49v0vyt) in just the third minute of play. Taylor, who has three goals and an assist for her team this season, dribbled the ball with pace down the flank and chipped the ball into the box where [**Beverly Yanez**](https://www.nwslsoccer.com/players/view/1xbmnft5hiqiqzmghn87c6vp) was able to get a piece of it but the header went just wide. Without [**Ashlyn Harris**](https://www.nwslsoccer.com/players/view/7rakt6kzybvn8u7jkonrdcmad) in net for the Pride, [**Haley** **Kopmeyer**](https://www.nwslsoccer.com/players/view/9bhn0azn3wb2wgdczcox6u66t) was called on and she stepped up big for her side in the 13th minute making a huge kick-save against a possible breakthrough for the Reign. Again, it was Taylor testing the Pride’s backline. Kopmeyer made another big stop just minutes later when forward [**Nahomi Kawasumi**](https://www.nwslsoccer.com/players/view/7flxdnsd0pp5nxhldypcxeled) took a shot from a distance. Kopmeyer finished the game with five saves. [Empty Body] In the 22nd minute, the Pride had their best chance of the first half when defender [**Carson Pickett**](https://www.nwslsoccer.com/players/view/6zvfcc67po0ofvl1twrv13tg5) served the ball into the box in a free-kick opportunity. Forward [**Alanna Kennedy**](https://www.nwslsoccer.com/players/view/6bcvcloym3tzxss5hgsw4h1at) got her head on it and it hit off the crossbar eventually deflecting to the head of Pride forward [**Sydney Leroux**](https://www.nwslsoccer.com/players/view/4c3ul31a4mf94cclrayr43g7p). Leroux tried to flick the ball with her head near post, but it went just wide. [Empty Body] The two teams returned from the break and it was a Kawasumi-Kopmeyer interaction once again to get things rolling. Kawasumi got a shot off just above the box and Kopmeyer made a diving save to keep the Reign off the board. Kawasumi finished the game with three shots. [Empty Body] In the 50th minute, Reign FC midfielder [**Jess Fishlock**](https://www.nwslsoccer.com/players/view/93d5k82qrmjr894k2hp5aril1) made a key defensive block for her side. Leroux attempted to cross the ball into the box, but Fishlock in good position made a diving kick save to deny the cross. Reign FC goalkeeper [**Lydia Williams**](https://www.nwslsoccer.com/players/view/88k3tmpcg5ov13cd8b9rxyggl) came up big for her team in the 73rd minute making a kick-save on a dangerous [**Emily Van Egmond**](https://www.nwslsoccer.com/players/view/3vnw015vllv7vzi79h7bplolx) chance.Williams finished the night with two saves. [Empty Body] The Reign had one final look in extra time to get on the board when midfielder [**Rumi Utsugi**](https://www.nwslsoccer.com/players/view/ewbvz3dxtwr7hx331uftylrkl) played forward [**Jasyme Spencer**](https://www.nwslsoccer.com/players/view/f1lymlxr3tdvvvhlv5rixarx1) into the left corner. Spencer was able to get off a low driven cross off, however no Reign players were there to get on the end of it to seal the game. The Reign finished the game with 15 shots and five on target, while the Pride had nine shots and just two on frame. The Reign had the better of the game’s possession with 52.7% to the Pride’s 47.3%.
