**Montclair, New Jersey**** ****– **Another late goal saw NJ/NY Gotham FC take all three points against North Carolina Courage on Tuesday night. The first half started in a flurry as Midge Purce notched her first Challenge Cup goal with a smooth solo effort to take the lead for NJ/NY Gotham FC. Debinha then answered with two finishes of her own to give North Carolina the lead in the 22nd and 23rd minute. Moments later, Paige Monaghan found Purce on the back post and she found the net to equal the score at 2-2 before Carli Lloyd took a beautiful pass from Imani Dorsey and slotted home to put NJ/NY up heading into half. The second half started at the same pace with Jessica McDonald heading in NC’s equalizer at the expense of Didi Haracic. The two sides battled into stoppage time when great build-up play involving Carli Lloyd and Ify Onumonu working the ball to find substitute Evelyne Viens who slotted home the winner. NJ/NY Gotham FC (2-0-0) take the win and returns to action on April 27th as they travel to Audi Field to take on the Washington Spirit (1-1-0) in what should be one of the most anticipated matches of the Challenge Cup presented by Secret Deodorant. That match will take place on Paramount + and kickoff will start at 7:00pm ET. North Carolina (1–1–0) returns to action on April 26th when they travel to Lynn Family Stadium to take on Racing Louisville (0–1–1) on Paramount + at 6:00pm ET.
