Washington Spirit goalkeeper Aubrey Bledsoe has been voted the Week 4 NWSL Player of the Week by the NWSL Media Association.Bledsoe made nine saves and earned a clean sheet in the Spirit’s 0-0 draw with Reign FC. It’s her second clean sheet in three games, and she’s allowed just one goal so far this season. Bledsoe was called into action immediately, making her first big save in the fifth minute to turn aside an early shot from a tough angle by Rumi Utsugi. At the end of the first half, she came off her line to beat Jodie Taylor to the ball and shut down another chance. Bledsoe’s 85th minute save, a diving stop through traffic, was voted the NWSL Save of the Week. She followed it up with another save on a free kick just two minutes later, to keep the clean sheet alive and earn the Spirit a point.
