Friday, May 17

Matchup: North Carolina Courage vs. Utah Royals FC - 8 PM ET

Where to watch: Prime Video

Back in March, North Carolina (4-5-0) faced Utah in the Royals' home opener, where Utah (1-7-1) delivered one of their best performances of the season. Now, in mid-May, Utah has yet to secure another victory since that match. Expect the first match of the weekend to be anyone’s game as both the Courage and Royals seek to redeem the recent spate of poor results.

Matchup: Houston Dash vs. Portland Thorns FC - 8:00 PM ET

Where to watch: NWSL+

Houston (2-4-3) is riding high after clinching a dramatic stoppage-time victory in Los Angeles last weekend. However, their momentum faces a formidable challenge as one of the league’s most in-form squads – the Portland Thorns (5-3-1) – arrives in town. Will Sophia Smith deliver another standout performance, or will Houston provide their home fans with an encore to their Hollywood triumph?

Matchup: Bay FC vs. San Diego Wave - 10:30 PM ET

Where to watch: NWSL+

Bay FC (2-7-0) and San Diego (3-3-2) recently clashed in San Diego, where the Wave secured all three points thanks to a stunning goal from Jaedyn Shaw. However, with each match, Bay FC is building the chemistry and mentality necessary to secure victories. Will the Bay Area expansion team find the success they’ve been striving for since their early-season win against Reign FC, or will San Diego ride high and sweep the series?

Saturday, May 18

Matchup: Washington Spirit vs. Angel City FC - 7:30 PM ET

Where to watch: ION

The Washington Spirit (6-3-0) are enjoying a dream season, driven in large part by rookie Croix Bethune, who is breaking records for debut season performances. Meanwhile, Angel City FC (3-4-1) suffered a morale-crushing defeat at home last weekend, falling to the Houston Dash after nearly 90 minutes of stellar defense. Has a week been enough for Becki Tweed’s squad to recover, or will Croix Bethune continue her dominant run through the weekend?

Matchup: Kansas City Current vs. Racing Louisville FC - 9:30 PM ET

Where to watch: ION

Racing (1-2-5) narrowly lost to the Spirit last weekend but demonstrated significant improvement compared to recent performances. As they head to Kansas City (6-0-3), they'll need to leverage these lessons and the leadership of their veterans to face one of the league’s two unbeaten teams, the Current. Despite missing key scorer Bia Zaneratto, the Current have remained formidable, with forward Temwa Chawinga posing a constant threat to defenders. Will the Current remain unbeaten by the end of the weekend?

Sunday, May 19

Matchup: NJ/NY Gotham FC vs. Chicago Red Stars - 5:00 PM ET

Where to watch: NWSL+

This Sunday afternoon at Red Bull Arena, Lynn Williams and the defending champions (3-2-3) take on Mal Swanson and the scrappy underdogs (5-3-1), as two of the league’s most prolific scorers face off for some much needed points. Both teams conceded just one goal each last weekend, showcasing their robust defenses and skilled goalkeeping, so while many fans might anticipate a high-octane match, the real masterclass may come from defense.

Matchup: Seattle Reign FC vs. Orlando Pride - 6:00 PM ET

Where to watch: NWSL+

Seattle (2-6-1) suffered a major defeat in their Cascadia Clash last weekend, just as they were starting to recover from a rocky season start. In contrast, the BandaWagon in Orlando keeps rolling, with the Pride (6-0-3) maintaining an unbeaten streak that makes them one of the league’s two unbeaten teams. After a two-game homestand, they are rejuvenated and ready to continue their run. Can Seattle reclaim their 2023 glory and topple one of the league's best teams this season, or will Orlando head home with all three points?
