[**McCall Zerboni**](https://www.nwslsoccer.com/players/view/domf5amhxgz82ormceatnowd1), [**Denise O’Sullivan**](https://www.nwslsoccer.com/players/view/7fk82cjz0z5vq2ts3vmz8has5) and [**Meredith Speck**](https://www.nwslsoccer.com/players/view/817x7baq69b1tnrtminbjf3zd) are all returning to the North Carolina Courage, the team announced Wednesday.The re-signings come a day after [North Carolina’s blockbuster trade for forward **Crystal Dunn**](https://www.nwslsoccer.com/news#spirit-trade-dunns-rights-to-courage-in-exchange-for-hatch-and-smith), in which they traded away defender [**Taylor Smith**](https://www.nwslsoccer.com/players/view/6z68ej070bws9x17xsmo4c4b9) and reigning Rookie of the Year **[Ashley Hatch](https://www.nwslsoccer.com/players/view/b9d4fqz6ezz2azklpghb9kyjt)** in exchange for the 2015 NWSL MVP in Dunn. [Zerboni was named to the NWSL Best XI last year](https://www.nwslsoccer.com/videos/23070223), her fifth season in the league, playing all but one match in the Courage midfield as North Carolina made it to the NWSL Championship. She finished off her year with her first cap for the U.S. women’s national team in October, in front of her home fans at Sahlen’s Stadium at WakeMed Soccer Park in Cary, North Carolina. O’Sullivan joined the Courage from the Dash midway through the regular season, but etched her name in the NWSL and North Carolina history books with her [89th minute game-winning goal in the semifinals](https://www.nwslsoccer.com/videos/22997012) to give the Courage a 1-0 win over the Red Stars. Speck saw limited action in 2017, her second year in the league. She totaled 197 minutes over two games.
