National Women’s Soccer League, Tiffany & Co. Announce Collaboration, Debut of Redesigned NWSL Championship Trophy

Trophy to be awarded at NWSL Championship, presented by Bud Light, November 11 at Snapdragon Stadium in San Diego, California

NEW YORK (October 17, 2023) –

The National Women’s Soccer League today announced the unveiling of a newly-designed NWSL Championship trophy in partnership with the renowned luxury brand Tiffany & Co. In a first-ever collaboration, the NWSL creative team and Tiffany & Co. worked in tandem to create a reimagined trophy reflective of the excellence of the league and the continued elevation of women’s soccer on a global scale.

The National Women’s Soccer League today announced the unveiling of a newly-designed NWSL Championship trophy in partnership with the renowned luxury brand Tiffany & Co. In a first-ever collaboration, the NWSL creative team and Tiffany & Co. worked in tandem to create a reimagined trophy reflective of the excellence of the league and the continued elevation of women’s soccer on a global scale. “This new partnership with Tiffany & Co. is significant not just for our league, but for women’s sports as a whole,” said NWSL Chief Marketing & Commercial Officer Julie Haddon. “Our ability to partner with iconic brands like Tiffany reinforces the remarkable athletes who play in the NWSL. We look forward to our continued partnership as we collaborate on reimagining the rest of our end-of-year awards, including the NWSL Shield.” Undergoing its first redesign since the league began play in 2013, the reimagined Championship trophy combines modern aesthetics with traditional elegance. Inspired by aerodynamic forces and the beauty of the game, the trophy features a sleek base with a stylized air current-shaped motif designed to evoke a ball in motion, while 24K gold vermeil and sterling silver accentuate the frame, conveying the prestige that has come to define the NWSL. Paying homage to the original award, the new trophy has repositioned the traditionally styled soccer ball, whose panels form the NWSL shield, to the top of the base, signifying the pinnacle of sporting excellence achieved by winning a Championship title in the most competitive women’s soccer league in the world. The NWSL Championship trophy will make its official debut at the upcoming NWSL Championship, presented by Bud Light, on Saturday, November 11, at Snapdragon Stadium in San Diego, California. In addition to the Championship trophy, Tiffany & Co. also collaborated with the NWSL on the redesign of its regular season MVP trophy, awarded to the league’s top performer in 2023, and beginning next season, will work with the NWSL to re-envision and create the remaining end-of-year awards.
