Utah Royals FC defender Rachel Corsie and Scotland qualified for the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup on Tuesday with a 2-1 win over Albania to win their group in UEFA Women’s World Cup qualifying. It’s Scotland’s first-ever appearance in the tournament.Scotland also features former Seattle Reign FC midfielder and 2014 NWSL MVP Kim Little, who will likely make her World Cup debut next summer. Also qualifying on Tuesday: Germany, Norway and Sweden. The four countries join Australia, Brazil, Chile, China PR, England, France (host nation), Italy, Japan, Korea Republic, Spain and Thailand, who have already qualified for the tournament. Fifteen of 24 countries have booked their tickets to France so far.
